Waridi (Swahili for Rose)
Just as there are thorns along the stem of a rose, leading ultimately to a beautiful bloom, so are there thorns in life. For many young women in Kenya, an unexpected pregnancy can feel like another thorn, and she may find it difficult to see the beauty that is coming.
The Waridi Project seeks to bring hope, restoration, and beauty to young girls facing unexpected pregnancies, or those already parenting alone. The Waridi Project seeks to encourage with the Gospel of Jesus, aid and support where tangible needs exist, and equip through education and opportunity.
